TXM Sony Value Stream Mapping Case Study Features in Lean Enterprise China Book

The recent TXM project at Sony Chemicals Suzhou is a featured case study in a new book about Lean Enterprise in China, Lean in China Ⅱ. TXM China Consulting Director, Justin Tao, coached Sony with value stream mapping methodology, drew current state map and developed future state map, using A3 to manage all the Kaizen needed. The book was published in July, 2013 by China Machine Press.


TXM Team to Attend ATCO Perth Grand Opening – Lean Plant Layout

October 24th is an exciting day for the TXM team because it marks the official opening by Western Australian Attorney General and Minister for Commerce, Michael Mischin, of the new ATCO Structures and Logistics relocatable buildings plant in Kwinana, Western Australia. This $2 0million world leading facility will manufacture custom built relocatable buildings for the mining and construction industries using an end to end lean production system developed with TXM.


TXM Talks Lean Manufacturing at the ISPE Australia Conference

TXM Managing Director, Tim McLean, was a keynote presenter at the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE) Conference in Canberra on September 9-10. Tim’s presentation focused on the application of Lean Manufacturing to pharmaceutical projects. Tim demonstrated how applying lean thinking from the outset in project can lead to significant savings in the capital cost and ongoing running costs of the new facility. TXM also had an exhibition stand at the conference where Tim and TXM Senior Consultant, Michelle Brown were able to provide conference delegates with more information about implementing Lean Manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry. AME Australia Event Showcases Lean Transformation at TXM Customer Ronson Gears

TXM Customer, Ronson Gears in Highett, Victoria, Australia will be the hosts of a half day Lean Learning event run by the Association of Manufacturing Excellence (AME) on 19 September. The AME is the peak body for Manufacturing Excellence in Australia. Ronson Gears won the Enterprise Connect Significant Achievement Award at the 2013 Endeavour Awards.

TXM Article Features in Australia China Connections Magazine

TXM Managing Director, Tim Mclean and China Consulting Director, Justin Tao recently teamed up to provide an article for the June/July 2013 issue of popular China-focused magazine, Australia-China Connections. The article discusses the challenges of trying to achieve change in a Chinese cultural context and ways to overcome these challenges. The article is the first in a series of articles by TXM to appear in Australia China Connections over the next year. The next TXM article will be in the October/November issue.


TXM Customer – Ronson Gears wins the 2013 Endeavour Awards Enterprise Connect Significant Achievement Award

A highlight of Austech 2013 was learning that one of our customers, Ronson Gears, was the winner of the Enterprise Connect Significant Achievement Award at the annual Endeavour Awards. The award recognised for implementation of lean manufacturing that directly lead to increase in sales exports and productivity. Ronson is a manufacturer of high quality metal gears and has worked with TXM Senior Consultant over the course of 2012 to implement a lean production system.
